Scott Bateman MBE

Scott was born and raised in a small village in Scotland and now based in the West Country (UK), where he lives with his wife and three adult children.

Scott has been a professional aviator for all of his adult life with extensive senior management experience in the military, commercial aviation, and aerospace arenas. In 2018, Scott started as a fledgling TV and media business and having had significant success with his broadcast and online projects, is now exploring new avenues to expand his professional aviation offering. His multi-media projects generally have an aerospace or aviation theme running through them, although not exclusively. From shows building the biggest jets on the planet to exploring our quest for humanity to live on other planets, Scott has brought these projects to life with his own unique twist.

Scott is a proud advocate of making aviation accessible to all and demystifying the flying experience for those who wish to have a career in the industry or just fly for holidays, or fun. Through his social media he brings us on his global travels as an airline pilot and affords us special access to his onscreen projects. 

As a serial volunteer within the public sector since 1997, Scott has brought his corporate experience to the 4th sector and has affected significant disruptive change to the way volunteers are attracted, trained, and retained within healthcare and policing. Gaining the honour of being awarded a MBE in the New year Honours List in 2000 for his services to the NHS. Scott continues to be passionate about giving back, volunteering his time with several organisations. 

Whether it be volunteering with the RAF Air Cadets, chairing a major UK Charity, his television or print media projects, or speaking engagements; Scott feels that he is making a positive contribution to the way aviation and space related content is perceived by many, as it adapts to our ever-changing world.
